5 days full of ideas, fun and workshop magic!

For children aged 8–14
Location: Gemini Salzburg
Time: daily 8:00 – 16:00 including lunch and drinks
Week: July 14-18, 2025

Parental contribution: € 280,- gross

Bring with you: a good mood, clothes that can get dirty and a snack.

Maximum participants: 10 children, minimum participants: 6 children
2 mentors per day

Who is the summer program for

The summer program is aimed at technology- and workshop-enthusiastic children ages 8 to 14 who enjoy tinkering, building, and experimenting. No prior knowledge is necessary—curiosity, creativity, and the joy of working together are the focus.


With the Gemini Summer Workshop, we aim to introduce children to craft and technical skills in a playful way. In a safe environment, they discover the joy of building things themselves, understanding technology, and implementing ideas together. Our goal: to spark enthusiasm – for tools, technology, and their own skills.

Who can participate in the summer program?

The summer program is designed for young people interested in technology who are eager to explore various craft and digital fields. No prior knowledge is required—curiosity and a willingness to experiment are all that's needed!


The program is designed for children and teenagers aged 8 and over.

When can the children & teenagers be brought?

The workshop day begins at 9 a.m., but participants can drop off as early as 8 a.m. The entrance on Rochusgasse is at a 90-degree bend and is via the Stiegl premises. (Red entrance gate)

How can I register?

Registration is available via our website gemini.co.at or via email. Since the number of participants is limited, we recommend registering early. After registration, you will receive an invoice via email. Your place is secured upon payment of the fee.

How much does participation cost?

Thanks to the support of the City of Salzburg, participation in Talent Thursday is reduced to €280 including VAT. This is a non-profit project of the Gemini Salzburg association.

Program flow

DAY 1 – Wood Workshop: We build our own game!

Using a hammer, glue, and sandpaper, we create our own wooden game—for example, a marble run, tic-tac-toe, or Ludo to take with us.

DAY 2 – Robot alert! Build your own mini robot

Using small motors, toothbrushes, or vibrating elements, we'll build a fun robot that actually moves! Who can create the fastest speedster or the craziest dancer? #BasicsElectricalEngineering #MotorSkills #CreativeCrafting

DAY 3 – Tinkering Day: We build a catapult!

Using wood, rubber bands, and screws, we'll build our own mini catapult machine. Who can shoot the farthest?

DAY 4 – Rocket Workshop: Building Air & Water Rockets

Today we're going high! We're building our own rocket from recycled materials and testing the launch in the yard.

DAY 5 – Electronics & LED Magic: Your Luminous Work

Soldering made easy! Today we're building a small LED work of art—a glowing nameplate or mini night light.

Conclusion: Workshop Rally + Upcycling Challenge

In teams, participants work through various stations (screw quiz, tool memory, speed drilling). At the end, there's a small exhibition and a certificate presentation!
