Course description
In our upholstery course we give old armchairs a fresh style !
Together we will learn the basics of wallpapering: from dismantling (chipping) From upholstery and covering to new upholstery . Whether it's an heirloom or a flea market find – your project is the focus. This course teaches craft techniques, tips, and tricks for refurbishing furniture.
Contents of the course
The participants
- learn how to assemble an armchair and the correct steps for wallpapering
- dismantle old covers and prepare the substructure
- work with tools such as stapler, pliers, scissors, knives and spatulas
- add new upholstery layers (felt, foam, spring cores, etc.)
- reupholster the armchair with your desired fabric
- receive individual support for their projects
Material & Notes
✅ Consumables (staples, glue, adhesive, oils, etc.) are included in the course price. 🪡 Covers and upholstery materials such as fabric, felt, innersprings, or foam are to be brought along or can be purchased directly from us at cost price . After removing the old fabrics, the wooden parts may need to be glued and refurbished, which is included in the course fee to a lesser extent. For larger restoration projects, a fee for a professional workshop may apply. 🪑 Please bring your own chair (without electrical function, max. single piece size)!
