Short description
How does buoyancy work? Why does a balloon fly? What happens in a Coke-Mentos explosion?
In the "Green Energy – Physics" workshop, children and young people experience physics firsthand : with astonishing experiments, clever explanations, and plenty of room for hands-on participation. The goal is to convey physical principles in an understandable, tangible, and exciting way – with modern equipment and plenty of aha moments!
Contents of the workshop
The participants
- determine the drag coefficient of cars and aircraft in the wind tunnel
- investigate the expansion of air and liquids
- build and test flying or driving balloon constructions
- measure the pH value of various everyday liquids
- produce a cold flame (with safety instructions!)
- create a Mentos Cola explosion and analyze it using slow motion video
All of these experiments combine practical applications with scientific principles – age-appropriate and under the guidance of an experienced mentor.
Conclusion
A workshop that encourages a spirit of inquiry and interest in technology , combines experiments with responsibility, and shows children how exciting physics can be. Experience green energy – with curiosity, a joy of experimentation, and plenty of aha moments.
