mBots in the Labyrinth – Robots on an Orientation Course
In this exciting workshop, children and young people discover the world of robotics in a playful way. Using the mBot, an Arduino-based educational robot, participants learn how to control robots using the visual programming language Scratch and teach them to navigate independently through a maze.

The task: A self-made labyrinth must be overcome – but only with brains and code!

Contents of the workshop

The participants

  • learn the basics of robotics and programming with Scratch
  • program the mBot for obstacle detection and navigation in the labyrinth
  • use sensors specifically to find the best route
  • develop their own strategies and programs with creative solutions
  • learn how to solve complex problems with just a few commands
