Short description
In the Sound Engineer Workshop, participants will experience how to create, edit, and creatively design professional sound recordings. They will learn how to use modern audio technology – from proper microphone placement to creating mixes on a laptop.
Through practical exercises, the young people delve into the world of sound engineering and learn how to control sound in a targeted manner – for example, for podcasts, music recordings or their own projects.
Optionally , participants can solder wiring, operate digital mixing consoles, and master a song.
Contents of the workshop
The participants
- learn how to use microphones, mixing consoles and recording devices
- record your own sounds or voices
- edit their recordings with modern audio software (e.g. Audacity, GarageBand or DaVinci Resolve)
- understand the basics of acoustics, sound processing and sound engineering
- create your own mixes and learn how to use effects specifically
